So my first loss was in january of 2010 my son was born still at 22 weeks due to a premature rupture of my membraines which induced my labor. This baby was completely normal. My 2nd pregnancy was very different, the doctors knew from 12 weeks on that something wasn't right. I had an amnio done during pregnancy and the baby had normal chromosomes. At 28 weeks I went into preterm labor (no explanation) My doctor was able to prolong my labor for 2 weeks using nyaphetampine and magnesium sulfate. My son, Brandon 2nd was born at 30 weeks. He live for 18 hours. He had: pulmonary hypoplasia, hyaline membraine disease, ascites (they removed 1 cup at birth and 30cc during the autopsy), severe clubbed feet, and imperforate anus. I had a full autopsy on the baby and I was also tested for gestational diabetes during pregnancy ( which I didn't have) The doctors still have no name for or any explanation as to why this happened to my baby. My 3rd and most recent loss was in January of 2010. I started taking 3mg of folic acid and a prenatal daily starting 3months before I got pregnant. At 16 weeks I started 17-hydroxyprogesteronecoproate shots once a week to prevent preterm labor. The baby was developing perfectly and there appeared to be nothing wrong with her. At my 2nd trimester quadscreen when I was 19 weeks my daughter didn't have a heartbeat. From the ultrasound the doctors said she was 17 weeks. I had no symptoms the baby had passed and my labor was induced. After an autopsy of my baby girl they once again had no answers for me. Now her I am after tons of blood tests and a hystersalpingogram looking for someone to give me an answer other than I don't know. I'm 21 years old and my husband and I are healthy people. Please anything helps...

I am so sorry for all of your losses, you certainly are at risk for many known conditions from genetic to immunologic to infecttous. I am happy to help you try and understand what is happening by completing this workup for you.

Please call my office and we can schedule a telephone or skype consultation to start the process. The most important piece of information is whether this is an embryo problem or a uterine problem.
