#1 - Low progesterone and bleeding, tried to play catch up with Prometrium and it dragged out until 7 wks. HCG was rising, then started dropping. HCG never got high enough for an u/s.

#2 - Again low progesterone, tried to play catch up again but I stated bleeding at 6 wks and my HCG started dropping.

#3 - I started Prometrium every month after trying to concieve. My HCG and progesterone levels were high. I had a heartbeat at 7 wks and at 9 wks there was no heartbeat and looked like development stopped at about 7 wks. No bleeding so I had a D&C with genetic testing showing Trisomy 22. I had a full workup done with genetic counseling and everyting was normal. At this time I was 41 years old.

#4 - Trying to concieve for one year, just got pregnant on my 2nd round of Clomid. Continuing with Prometrium. My HCG was low, and progesterone normal as expected. My HCG is not doubling as expected. It was 17 and 9 dys later 137. I would be into my 6th week and I started bleeding with cramps. I repeated my labs (which would be 6 dys after my last lab draw) and I'm awaiting for the results, but I'm pretty sure they will be decreasing. I'm guessing it's my age.

Deep inside I'm hoping the bleeding was something else like a subchorionic bleed or my small fibroid. I guess I'm reaching for whatever I can. Feeling hopeless. I've been wanting to be a mom for such a long time.

Thanks
Ruby

Ruby , this sounds like it is not just your age. Im certain there is an implantation issue. The progesterone is most likely a result of poor implantation , not the cause so chasing it with prometrium wont help. Please call me for a consult and I would be happy to assist you.
