Dr. Braverman,

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 2 and a half years. Since then, we have had 5 chemical pregnancies. Two occurred at 5 weeks, 1 at 6 weeks, and the last 2 were consective months at 5 weeks. During the last two, I had very strong symptons, but they dissappeared within a week and soon my period started. My current physician does not seem concerned with these losses. I have had testing that shows I do have 2 gene mutations that increase my risk of thrombis; therefore, I am taking a low dose of Aspirin daily. I also had a hysterosalpingogram last year that proved to be normal. After my 3 miscarriages, an ultrasound was done and a cyst was seen on one ovary, but the physician felt this was due to my current miscarriage. A repeat ultrasound has not been done.

We had one succeful pregnancy is 2006. We got pregnant quickly, and the only compliciation was that I had a seizure at 14 weeks. I started taking 50mg of Lamictal at that time. Previously, I have had one other seizure in my life. I now take 300mg of Lamictal. I will be 35 next month, and feel like it may be hopeless at this point.

I appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,

HChambers

there is quite a bit that needs to be investigated with your history , we need to investigate egg quality ,sperm quality , immune issues and then decide if the treatment and workup for the thrombo condition was adequate. Please feel free to give me a call I would be happy to assist you in this workup and offer a treatment plan for you. Please dont despair.
