Hi I had a baby born at 29 weeks after membranes ruptured at 25 weeks. Then miscarried at 16 weeks and since then suffered 4 other losses around 7 weeks. The last one I saw heartbeat, though I then got chicken pox so am awaiting parvovirus results.
ive been on pred and intralipids and clexane, cyclogest last preg for high nk cells as well as 4 shots of humira for high tnf alpha.
i am continuing supplements and wobenzym and beginning restravtol for the first time.
i have also since had a hysterscopy which found a small uterus and they had to make cuts across it to widen it.
i just wondered if it would worth me testing for dqa/ hla given that we've already had a baby previously?
thankyou

I am very sorry for all of your losses. Yes more information is always better and we find that a fingerprint of the FULL HLA status of both parents is a requirement to properly evaluate you. I do believe based on your history the uterine anamoly may be your only problem but you cant start treatment until you rule all other possible causes of implantation failure. I would be happy to assist you if you would like.

Thankyou for taking the time to reply.
Sadly I am in the uk but would be grateful if you could tell me what other implantation failures I need to rule out.
My consultan t seemed to think it wasn't implantation as I had seen a heartbeat but their has to be a reason.
my hubby and I had karyotyping done after first loss which was normal. Is dqa more thorough?
Did you mean my uterus being small and having something across it could of caused my miscarriages?
many thanks

Yes that is correct an defect in the uterine cavity can also be responsible for these losses. A full HLA analysis not just DQalpha would also help to try and elucidate the problem. You can email my office and they would schedule a SKYPE consultation if you wouuld like. We also have an affiliate practice in Barcelona Spain that you could work with as well.
