Good afternoon.

I just stumbled upon this site while looking for answers to what will be my 4th miscarriage in the course of 2.5 years.

Let me begin by saying I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early 30s while trying to get pregnant with my daughter. We almost immediately began with fertility treatments. After 6 failed IUI's, we finally tried IVF and hit the jackpot first try. My daughter was born in 2012 and we could not be any more thrilled. Fast forward 14 months and I was surprised to find that I had become pregnant naturally. The neucal translucency tested showed a healthy baby, no red flags. At my 16 week checkup, my baby had no heart beat. My OBGYN chalked it up to an unhealthy pregnancy. My fertility specialist sent me to a hematologist and he diagnosed me with a clotting issue (not Lupus Anticoagulant).

After I let my body heal, I went back to my fertility clinic after 6 months and began another IVF cycle, this time with lovenox one day post transfer and immediately got pregnant. HCG levels flucuated and it ended in miscarriage at around 7 weeks. Since that cycle, I have had two more retreivals, fresh high quality 5 day blast transfers and two more pregnancies that were chemical. Evidently the embryo will implant but fails to thrive. Since I had so many implantation failures, my dr. conducted a laproscopic hysteroscopy and found endometriosis. The endometriosis was removed at the time of the procedure.

I just currently completed a round of IVF and have gotten another positive beta. First level was 10dp5dt- 96.9; second beta 48 hours later was only 99. I am going tomorrow for a repeat but know all too well where this pregnancy is going. My Dr. claims that some peoples infertility problems are unexplainable. I can't believe this to be true. There has to be something more.

Due to the fact that historically, my embryos implant, could there be an immunologic reason for all these miscarriages? Between the endometriosis, clotting issue and the PCOS, something has to be going on.

You most likley have 2 issues , one with egg quality and one with immune rejection . I would be happy to reveiw your case and give you my recommendations. Please fill out a consult request on my website and the staff will schedule a free consult with me. But I am mos certain this is not "unexplainable".
