Dear Doctor,
We are really hoping you can advise us on what to do next. My Beta on Friday 10dp5dt of 2 good blasts was positive but only at beta level 27. The Clinic feel it is either late implantation or another(earlier than last) chemical.
My bloods are as follows
Fsh4.6
Lh 6.3
Amh 7.1
My husband SA showed low motility; 30% but no fragmentation issues so both cycles were ICSI. The first pregnancy finished at 6 weeks, we had nothing frozen so this cycle was fresh.
In November following 1 st chemical my Autoimmune bloods were normal. My consultant said not to bother with chicago bloods as he was going to prescribe me Clexane and prednesolone anyway ( was on baby aspirin already.) I have been on the progesterone and oestrogen support since egg collection.
I feel so sad and upset, waiting for bloods on Monday- to confirm a chemical.. Is there such thing as late implantation?
If I have been clexane aspirin and prednisolone for this cycle what can they do for next? What tests can we get done now? Do you think metformin might help- I have put on some weight since starting ivf in October.. Thanks in advance for your time and any advise you have,
Daisy

If you were told not to do immune testing because you were going to be treated by clexane and prednisone , then your current RE has very limited knowledge on how to use testing to guide treatment. The best time however to get this testing is once you are pregnant , so that you can see how the immune system is interacting with the pregnancy and that is the best way to test the effectiveness of the prescribed therapy. I hope this all goes well for you , and as long as the betas are going up normally I see no benefit at this time to test. If there is an unfortunate outcome , time is of the essecne to get immune testing so we can determine the correct treatment. Our testing can be drawn anywhere in the country or overseas with short notice.
Good Luck to you , and please let me know if I can be of service. If you need to schedule immune testing please call my office and ask for Kim our patient coordinator.

Thanks so much Dr Braverman,
What blood tests does the auto immune profile look for, as in what's included. I am based in Ireland so would Kim be able to contact me by email? . I am not too confident about this pregnancy with the beta so low, but it's out of our hands, so I might get blood drawn today when I go for the second beta. If you let me know what tests to get done here , I would happily pay for a consult with you once I get the results.
Thank you so much,
Daisy

Hi Daisy, the testing we do is unique and the panel that I have put together can not be done anywhere else. We can get your blood to our laboratory from any where in the world. If you go to the website you can see all the bloods that we order on our immune panel and maybe you can find a lab in Ireland that does them . If you do I would be happy to consult with you afterwards, but prior to my odering tests for you I must get your detailed history (questionairre is on line on the website) and then I can recommend all the correct testing for you. Its never correct to just order the tests without knowing the full history. This is why I have set up our lab to be able to obtain specimens from around the world.
Let me know what is easier for you , I hope I can be of service.
