Confused about intralipids

Why do some women NEED intralipids while using Neupogen when dealing with HLA matching issues, and other women do not?

I'm confused by the conflicting info that intralipids cannot hurt, but then I've also heard that intralipids can hurt, if they are reducing (too much) inflammation necessary for implantation to take place.

I use intralipids along with neupogen when there is elevation in the NK cell activity. Otherwise I do not add it. I cant think of every circumstance that I have had where I might still consider it, but those are my guidelines. unlike prednisone and IVIG I havent seen much in the way of oversuppression with intralipids , but I still would not use it with low activity or other evidence of chronic lymphocyte suppression.

It just dawned on me that my last set of tests showed slightly low lymphocytes:

lymphocite level was 19% (lab range was 22-44%)
Lymphs -- was 1.12K/uL with lab range of 1.0-4.8K/uL

NKa Assay:
T:E 1:50 Native State % killed 10.0
T:E 1:25 Native State % killed 5.8
T:E 1:12.5 Native State % killed 2.3

NKa Assay:
T:E 1:50 Native State % killed 10.2
T:E 1:25 Native State % killed 4.6
T:E 1:12.5 Native State % killed 2.9

Secondary infertility after 3 children together - 11 chemical pregnancies in 5.5 years, absolute HLA DQa match, me: 3.0, 4.1, and my husband: 4.1, 4.1



Is there any significance to my semi low lymphocite results along with my NKa results and our fertility history? Would you advise NOT to use intralipids, given these results?

no I dont think you need them. again I would really need to see our entire history to be sure of any recommmendation. There is a lot missing from the workup that you had performed.
