Dr. Braverman;

My question: Should I stop medication and supplements prior to visiting with you and testing?

Meds/Supps:
Prenatal
Metformin (750 mg XR)
Vitamin C (1000 mg)
Folic Acid (2 mg while pregnant, 5 mg following loss)
Claratin (10 mg, added at about 10 weeks pregnant because allergies and asthma were so bad)
Rhinocourt (added at about 10 weeks pregnant because allergies and asthma were so bad)
Pulmocort (added at about 10 weeks pregnant because allergies and asthma were so bad)
Fish Oil (1400, purified)
D3 (4,000 iu, was severely deficient in May 2011 at time of forth loss at 4 weeks)

Background:
I have one live birth for five pregnancies. Three weeks ago I suffered another loss at 16 weeks (demise about 13 weeks). Genetic testing was unable to yield results due to time between demise and evacuation. Other loses occurred at 4 weeks, 8 weeks, and one chemical. My son was born in 2008 at age 36, conceived on a rest cycle of Gonal-F. We have used clomid, gonal-f, and iui's, but all pregnancies were otherwise achieved on natural cycles. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 12 weeks into the pregnancy.

I will be 40 in two weeks. I was diagnosed with PCOS at age 17 (22 years ago). I have the classic presentation: obesity, hirsutism, cystic ovaries, and high cholesterol. Although, the regularity of my cycle has improved considerably in my 30's as compared to my 20's.

I will have an initial consult appointment with you sometime in Mid April. I have insurance coverage worked out, but I just need to finalize my travel and lodging arrangements before I schedule the appointment in your Manhattan office. My insurance requires an in office visit and will not pay for phone or skype.

Thank you for addressing this now so we don't loose any more precious time in trying to get our THB for our son. Thanks!

you can stay on your supplements if you were on them during your losses, if not then I would stop them prior so we can mirror your immune status while pregnant. I am very soory for your losses , we should be able to get you some answers and solutions.
