Hi there,

I live in Australia and have high NK cell activity but no diagnosed clotting disorders. I have been tested for some of the disorders such as Factor V Leiden, protein C deficiency, protein S deficiency, anti-thrombin deficiency. I'm currently 12w6d pregnant after my 4th IVF and this was the only cycle I have been on Lovenox and Prednisolone.

I was wondering if it would be wise for me to stay on Lovenox for the entiretly of pregnancy or whether to go off it now that i've reached the 12 mark.

Thank you :)

I dont have enough information to guide you on that decision , based on what you have told me however I dont see the need to continue the lovenox, but I like to follow APAs, ATAs, Doppler studies, cytokine levels and other particulars in the history so I dont have enough information to say you shouldnt take it. I guess this has to reside between you and your physician.
Sometimes the lovenox is usueful for implantation and that may be one of the reasons you were successful. In those cases I do safely stop the lovenox at 12 weeks.

I hope this helps , good luck and congrats on the pregnancy.

Thank you for your reply. I really appreciate it and found it very helpful. My Ob has said it's my choice whether to go off it or not, some of her patients stay on it for reassurance. I see her next week so will confirm with her then.

Thanks again :)
