Two miscarriages- what else should I do?

Dr Braverman,
Thank you for answering questions on this board. I really appreciate your time and effort.

I was wondering if you can give me some advice about my situation.

I am 31 years old. My husband is the same age. I had two very early miscarriages.

First miscarriage was week 6.5 (turned out to be missed miscarriage).
Autopsy was performed no chromosomal abnormality was identified.
The embryo was XX.
I was diagnosed with partial septum and it was removed after the D&C.

Second miscarriage- 5 weeks, chemical pregnancy. I went to an RE, the following was performed:
1. Blood tests came back normal, except that I have MTHFR mutation (homozygous type).
I was also diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency. Doctor prescribed 4000 mg folic acid and extra vitamin D.

My prolactin levels are borderline high (20). This is still within normal range but is on a high side.

2. Sonogram, HSG, hysteroscopy all came normal.

I was told by my doctor that 2 early miscarriages are nothing to worry about, and that I should just try again.

Do you think I should get further testing at this point or just follow my doctor's advice and try again?

Thank you

Dr. Braverman

I think waiting is reasonable advice, you had a septum repaired to explain your first loss and the second could have been random. certainly with a third you would require a more detailed workup . Good Luck.
