Hello Dr. Braverman,
I completed my 1st IVF cycle w/ICSI in November (after 2 yrs. TTC, 3 failed IUIs, 2 surgeries to remove a uterine septum & lap), which resulted in our 1st ever pregnancy. Sadly, after three great betas and a perfect 7 wk u/s, I had a spontaneous m/c @ home with no warning @ 8 1/2 wks. Now I am wondering what, if any, testing you'd recommend before we proceed with a FET?

The fetus tested chromosomally normal (girl), but there was no further genetic testing done. Our dx is "unexplained", though I had the septum (nearly complete, now <1cm after two hysteroscopies) and my husband has low morphology. I am 34, he is 35. We are concerned there might be some underlying and yet unknown issue that may be causing our infertility and/or the m/c. My current RE only agreed to test me for Lupus antiphospholipid antibodies and attributed our m/c to "bad luck". This obviously was not satisfying to us, though we understand that m/c is always a possibility and not always readily explainable.

Any insight you can lend would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Best, Kate

I think you need to rule out all etiologies that can cause a sudden abruption and spontaneous miscarriage. It seems that some of your blood clotting testing was done, but as you can see from our site very little is ever done prior to my patients coming here.
I would be happy to arrange any testing you would need then I could give you my recommendations.
