I dont know where to start. I have had 5 pregnancies reulting in 2 live births and am currently pregnant for the 6th time. In 2005 we had our first daughter no complications with the pregnancy until 36 wks 6 days and we induced due to severe hellp syndrome. We then became pregnant again when our daughter was around 18 mos. old I carried that baby until 14 wks. when we went for a reg. appt and no heartbeat was found. The ultrasound showed that the baby had passed just days prior. Our doctor ordered many tests and nothing really came back positve, but he put me on 1 baby aspirin daily ong w/ progesterone suppositories and heparin injections 2x daily with our next pregnancy. In 2007 we welcomed our 2nd daughter, and a very uneventful pregnancy. Now i have since had 2 more miscarriages, another right around 14 weeks and then one at 9 weeks both times heartbeats were seen via ultrasound and nothing looked out of the ordinary. We have since had more testing done again nothing positive except heterozygous mthfr with only one copy of the gene. We had chromosonal testing done and saw a different doctor at our local university, but with no answers from anyone. I am wondering if you would have anyu thoughts on all of this??

I am very sorry for your losses, we have had many cases like yours and many times the answer is HLA matching that is significant. You really need a full immune panel to be done. this can be treated. Please call my office and schedule a consultation with me, I can order all the necessary testing for you.

We have again lost another baby at 13 weeks,to say we are frustrated is an understatement. We have been told by our regular OB to stop trying because he does not know where to go from here. My question for you is do you believe that there is truly an answer for these miscarriages? My understanding of immune related miscarriages is that they occur earlier with each subsequent one and ours seem to all happen at 13 - 14 weeks with one occuring at 9 weeks, and with no problems until they occur. With the last one we were seen the day before at our OB office and heard heartbeat. We had a home doppler and checked babe in a.m. next morning and heard no heartbeat. You replied in your last post that you suspect HLA matching, and that you could order tests. Can these tests be done at my OB office or would we need to see you at your office? and would you need a copy of my records prior to a consultation?

we can order your tests at your OB office for you, but I would need to do a consultation and see all your records before we order those tests. This can be fixed!
