Out-of-Town & International Patients

Prevent Miscarriage & Infertility With Our Specialists

Braverman IVF & Reproductive Immunology treats patients worldwide at our Woodbury and Manhattan, New York Centers. We offer the highest quality IVF, IUI, Egg Donor and Reproductive Immunology treatment. We understand the emotional and financial stress patients undergo when they experience recurrent pregnancy loss or unexplained infertility. We realize this can be even more stressful for out-of-town patients who have to also schedule travel for their treatments. To streamline this process we have put together our New Patient Check-List for Out-of-Town Patients. This provides you with step-by-step instructions for becoming a patient of Braverman IVF & Reproductive Immunology, and helps you to coordinate your travel schedule with your treatment.

New Patient Checklist for Out-of-Town Patients

  • We offer a free ten minute phone discussion with Dr. Braverman, so that together you and he can assess your needs for the services of Braverman IVF & Reproductive Immunology. You can then decide if traveling to our Center offers you the right treatment options. Please fill out our consult contact form on our website and we will gladly arrange to schedule your free Consultation with Dr. Braverman.
  • Once you have decided to become a patient of Braverman IVF & Reproductive Immunology you must first fill out the Patient Registration Packet and the New Patient Questionnaire.
  • After you have submitted your New Patient Questionnaire you should then contact our Patient Coordinator to set-up your New Patient Appointment at our Woodbury office. Our Patient Coordinator will also work closely with you to complete the registration process. We will gladly work with your local doctor to have all of our initial testing performed where you live, prior to your visit to our center. As the results can take up to 6 weeks to be analyzed, many prefer this option so all the results are available at the time of your in person consultation. For those that cannot make it to NY at all, we will review your results with your local MD. (unless you come to NY we cannot review these results with you directly).
  • You will be contacted prior to your New Patient Appointment by our Billing Office to review your insurance coverage and to go over the estimated cost for your first visit. For patients with limited insurance or who might be a self-pay patient we will review our payment options and programs with you. You will receive specific payment dates and a breakdown of costs for your cycle at this consult.
  • At your New Patient Appointment Dr. Braverman will review your medical history, do a complete physical examination, discuss possible diagnosis, and then outline the testing that you may need. At this visit you will have a sonogram that includes a color-flow doppler/uterine arterial resistance study. For patients without prior losses who are coming only for our worldclass IVF procedures, the testing may be less extensive Dr. Braverman will review this with you at your initial visit.
  • Our team will work closely with you to set-up testing (if it has not already been arranged and drawn prior to your visit). Some testing will have to be done here in New York, and some may be scheduled at a laboratory in your local area. Your Coordinating Nurse will review with you the tests that you will need to have done at our New York Centers.
  • After your New Patient Appointment,(and only for those patients that did not have all of their testing performed prior to their visit) Dr. Braverman will meet with you for a follow-up visit or he will speak with you by phone or Skype (your option) to discuss the results of your tests, his diagnosis, and his treatment recommendations. If you require IVF, treatment MUST be performed at our New York Centers and Dr. Braverman and his medical staff will manage your cycle, coordinate all your care, and be available throughout your treatment to answer any of your questions. (Only the egg retrieval and transfer must be performed at our facility , monitoring can easily be coordinated at a center that is local to you). Under certain circumstances Dr. Braverman will coordinate your care with your local OB/GYN or Infertility specialist.
  • Contact our office with any questions. We look forward to speaking with you.

IVF / FET & DONOR Treatment Options for Out-of-Town Patients

IVF Cycle
An IVF cycle will requires a 7-9 day stay in New York. All your monitoring can be done at your local OB/GYN or Fertility Center. A record release form is required so that your doctor can release the information to our medical staff. The exact duration of the stay depends on whether you have a day 3 or a day 5 transfer. Since Dr. Braverman and his medical staff will be coordinating and managing your cycle, details will be thoroughly discussed with you.

IVF with a Freeze-All
You can come and have your retrieval, a four-day stay, that includes your retrieval and a freeze-all. Your embryos will be cryopreserved though vitrification (the most advanced technique available). Once your embryos are preserved you can come back whenever you want for your frozen transfer. For your Frozen cycle you will need to plan on a 3 to 4 day stay.

FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer) Cycle
You may have Embryos at another center and you would like Dr. Braverman to manage your cycle and perform your frozen embryo transfer at our New York Center. You will need to plan on a 3-4 day stay in New York. To have your embryo transferred to our center you may call us directly at 212-677-5118 to make those arrangements.

Donor Egg Recipient Cycle

A Donor Recipient cycle will require a 7-9 day stay in New York. All your care as well as your donor's care will be coordinated by our Donor Nurse Coordinator. All the details will be given to you as we coordinate your care.
