I am a 32 year old female who has been trying to get pregnant for 2 years. I have been through three courses of Clomid and now one course of Femara (Letrozole). I am planning on going through an IUI treatment in August. I have been working with a fertility specialist who has advised me that my AMH level is at a .16. I have been told this is very low and there is no treatment to make it go up. So, my question is..do you think that I have a good chance of IUI working or is it a lost cause? My husband has been tested and all of his sperm tests have come back with very good numbers. All of my other tests have come back with good numbers, except the AMH level. I ovulate every month, however, we are finding it difficult to figure out exactly when. I am hoping with this new drug and ovulation kits that we will be able to pinpoint when ovulation will occur.

Please let me know what you think about our chances with IUI. Thank you!

I have had pregnancies with these low AMH, it is difficult but there are certainly aggressive therapies that you can try.

Since I am seeing a fertility specialist, would they have knowledge of these more "aggressive therapies?" I would like to go back to my dr with suggestions or ideas, so that we don't go into this blind. What can you suggest?

Human Growth Hormone, DHEA, Estrogen priming, many different types of supplements, Day 2 transfers are a few. I would be happy to help guide you in these treatments even in conjuction wtih your specialist if he is not familiar or willing to do so. You would just need to call my office and schedule a consultation. We can even perform the IVF if you wish at our center with most of your monitoring done where you live. Good luck.
