I'm curious what you think about the use of Wobenzym for recurrent loss? Or CCRM's "antihistamine protocol" which includes prednisone, Claritin and Pepcid for people with repeated losses or failed IVF? I guess CCRM doesn't buy into reproductive immune issues, but aren't they essentially treating them with this protocol? I understand how prednisone works but how would the other two meds possibly help?

yes they are clearly treating immune issues as well as assuming histamine release to be potentially harmful. I have not seen or read their philosophy on this, if you have any literature you would like me to review I would be happy to do so and give you my opinion on it.

Well, this is the study on Wobenzym: http://natural-fertility-info.com/wp-content/uploads/WobenzymStudy.pdf

I can't find much on the antihistamine protocol...I just had a friend have a phone consult with them and mentioned it to me.

Ok thank you for the reference. Yes I am familiar with the products in Wobenzym, there is not much new here. The theories behind the use are both as a broad spectrum anti inflammatory and prevention of microhemmorhage(that has no proof as of yet).
I do use similar supplements that contain the pineapple abstract but caution must be used to avoid near time of egg retrieval as the anti inflammmatory componenet can prevent ovulation.

The paper you gave me was very interesting and really was basically a patent explanation from the company that makes the supplement. I think its fine as an adjunct. But immune management must be done in detail while following all the parameters , so I cant agree with just giving this out wihtout a good understanding of exactly what the issue is your treating. As I mentioned on the website sometimes these treatments can end up being the problem.
