Dr. Braverman,

The same week I started taking Estrace and low-dose aspirin for my FET protocol, I developed itchy skin all over my body. My RE recommended taking Benadryl to deal with the itch and continue with the meds. If I can tolerate the itch would you recommend I abstain from the Benadryl? If the itch becomes hard to manage, what dose of Benadryl would you recommend and how close to my FET would you recommend I take the Benadryl? I have not been tested for any immune issues, and PIO shots are the last element of my FET protocol. We have secondary infertility (ostensibly male factor infertility; our first child was conceived "naturally").

Not sure what the source of the rash is , but benadryl is a good idea to use to lower possibly elevated histamine levels that could interfere with implantion. I would use up to 50mg every 6 hours. Of course the final decision on treatment must rest with your doctor as I do not know your case in detail.
