Hi Dr Braverman,
Would a chronic sinus infection cause TH1:TH2 and NK levels to be elevated?

Last month all levels were finally within normal ranges, but we did another Simponi injection (3rd) and IVIG (2nd) for good measure, prior to starting a FET cycle the end of this month.

We retested my levels again this week (10 days post IVIG) and my levels have all increased. The only change is that I was diagnosed with a chronic sinus infection 9 days prior to the bloods being drawn and put on antibiotics. I returned to the Dr yesterday to find that the infection is still there and have started another round of stronger antibiotics (Avelox) and 12 day regimen of Pred.

NKs went from 13.9, 1.5 to 16.0, 8.5
TH:1 from 26.9 to 37.6 TH:2 levels were okay, just don't remember what they were.

Thanks.

Dr. Braverman

yes any infection can raise the TH1 levels, but neither of your levels look so for out of the norm, why the aggressive treatments?
