Hi Dr. Braverman,

After nine months of trying to conceive, I surprisingly became naturally pregnant the month before I was to begin my first IVF cycle. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage at 6-1/2 weeks (the RE said that growth had stopped at 5-1/2 weeks). My background is that I have high FSH (highest has been 20.6) and low AMH (less than .16). I am 36 years, 8 months old.

I have had testing done as far as the Ashzenazi Jew panel and Fragile X (all negative).

Would it be beneficial for me to consult with you about possible immune issues? I am out of state but have heard many good things about you.

Thanks so much!

Dr. Braverman

with only one loss and a high risk for this being genetic due to your high FSH and low AMH I think it would be immature to have an immunology workup. of course that thinking would change if you had significant risk factors for immune issues.
