Hi Dr Braverman

I am from South Africa and was refered by a lady who is currently in the care of Doctor.

I have done 4 failed IVF's and 3 failed IUI's in the last 2 years.
The only problem the Doctors have picked up so far is Endometrioses. I had a Lap before my treatments and believe i should go again for one.

I have also done immune testing with Prof B in CapeTown.
CD3+ = 61.20%
CD19+ = 17.66%
CD3_ CD16+ 56+ (NK) = 15.46%
CD3+ CD16+ 56+ (NKT) = 6.14%
CD3+ CD4+FOXP3+ (TREGS) = 4.94%

  • Does endometrioses stop me from falling pregnant? (does it play such a big role?)
  • Do I need to do more immune testing?

I am currently on gyanguard - probiotics.

    Thank you very much.

Dr. Braverman

Yes endometriosis plays a role in both making good quality embryos as well as implantation of normal embryos. (see my video on the endometriosis page on our website).
Yes you do need a complete immune panel (again see our Diagnostic testing page for a list of all our testing and sample reports)
If you fill out a consulation form on our website we can schedule a free 10 minute consult.
