Dear Dr Braverman,
What prevents abnormal embryos from implanting? Do immune treatments (e.g dex, IVIG, neupogen etc) make it more likely that abnormal embryos will implant and not be miscarried?
Your thoughts are appreciated.
Thank you.

that is a very diffiicult question to answer for sure , but the evidence leans towards not being able to prolong a pregnancy with a genetically abnormal embryo that is not normally compatible with implantation. We have not seen an increase in "markedly" abnormal or complex abnormals in patients that are treated with immune modulation. Obviously there are genetic abnormalities that would continue with or without therapy.
