Hi Dr. Braverman,

I am 7 weeks pregnant after 3.5 years TTC. I recently got back my latest bloodwork which showed the following:

NK Assay
50:1 7.8
CD 56 15.3

TH1/TH2 cytokines
TNF 38.5
INF 12.2
ANA Positive 1:40 speckled

My Dr. is suggesting I either up my prednisone dosage to 40 mg/day or do IVIG. I am wondering if there are any other alternatives, given that 20 mg of prednisone already gives me a racing heart, difficulty sleeping, and blood sugar issues, and IVIG is just so expensive......

I am also on lovenox 80 mg/day for inherited thrombophilia factors...

I wouldnt change anything here. But I would p refer to see a much larger immune panel done, but based on what I see I would hold steady, your cytokines are elevated but still under 40 for TNF.
