Hi Dr.Braverman,

I'm 40 years old have had seven miscarriages. I have been advised to take 25mg dhea, letrozole from day 3-5, intralipid therapy, and 10 mg of prednisone- all in a natural cycle.. I'm wondering why the letrozole would be recommended since I ovulate normally. (My most recent FSH was 6.9, but it was 3 times greater than Lh).

Would letrozole be helful in a 40 year old with rpl? (So far I've had no problem getting pregnant)

Is it safe?- I've read stuff on Dr. Google suggesting it can lead to birth defects.

is DHEA a safe to take until ovulation?

does my blood work suggest an issue with ovarian reserve?

thank you!!!!

michelle

I think you should get a complete immune workup with our profile so you can get the correct treatments rather than "guessing" and prescribing meds that have been known to help without first having a diagnosis. letrazole has been found to be helpful in cases of endometriosis . Not sure why you need the DHEA . I think you have an immune issue more than an egg quality issue. i would be happy to assist y ou , best is to fill out a consult request on our website and we can schedule a free 10 min chat.
