Dear Dr. Braverman,

<br />

I have my first DE IVF transfer in 5 weeks.

<br />

I have a teenager, TTC 4 years with new husband, 5 mc in 4 years, most recent 2 mc had chromosomal problem. As issue was egg quality, we are at DE now.

<br />

Cytokines were 50.9 in July and after weeks on high dose Omega 3, they were 65 on 8 Sept.

<br />

I have chosen to take Intralipids and not to take Humira.

<br />

I will have Intralipids week before transfer, week of transfer and then if a positive test, I will continue as advised.

<br />

Can I please ask if in your opinion, Intralipids are in any way effective at lowering Cytokines.

<br />

With 5 weeks to go what would your advise be.

<br />

Kind regards

Dr. Braverman

How were the cytokines measured? Were the the simple TNF/IL10 and INFg/IL10 ratios or true serum cytokines. First Humira should not even be a consideration if not true serum cytokines and Intralipids as a rule do not lower high levels of serum cytokines. If you have only had the ratios then there is no way to know what therapy you need.
