Hi , Iam 42 and have had 5 m/c and a failed attempt at IVF w/PGD. My FSH is low ....doctors tell me it is my egg quality. If it was, wouldn't my FSH be high. This is so confusing. Going backto my RE tomorrow. This is a follow up after my failed iVF in Nove 2010. Do you have any words, suggestions, etc. Read alot about DHEA to help with egg quality. I am taped out financially with all my fertility issues.

I have been tested for thrombophilia...did the lovenox..didn't help. I am on baby aspirin. They also tested me on the low end for MTHFR..I take my folic acid.

My mom had lupus but I had extensive testing twice and I have no autoimmune issues that came up in my blood work.

Just recently they tested me postiive for high prolactin levels. I am now on bromocriptene to help.

Thanks for listening. Hope to hear from someone soon.

I would agree that this is not an egg quality issue. Although you may not have an autoimmune disease the lupus in your mother may increase your risk of other immune issues. The normal w/u for autoimmune disease does not cover the issues I would look at to see if there is an immune component to your losses which I suspect. I would need to see all the testing you had done to rule out autoimmune disease. Please gather all you can and fax it to my office. Call Kim and set up a phone consultation and I will be happy to review your entire case and give you some suggestions.

If we are in your insurance plan and you come in to our office there is no charge, but if you are out of state there is a charge for a telephone consult as this can not be billed to you insurance. If you call Kim she will go over the fees for out of state consultations. I hope I can be of service to you.
