Dr. Braverman, thank you for this forum and taking the time to answer questions.

I have had 4 chemical pregnancies, one missed miscarriage (genetically normal), and a preterm birth due to placenta complications.

I have two questions:

1) In what cases can Neupogen be used other than HLA matches and KIR issues?

2) Have you ever/do you ever use Neupogen for patients with "unexplained" recurrent pregnancy loss whose immune tests are all normal or borderline normal?

When you state all iimmun tests were normal , If we have not run your profile Im sure there is quite a bit that has not been evaluated. It is very unlikely with your history of a gnetically normal loss we would not find the issue and not need to give you random but rather correct treatment.

With that said there are many other uses for neupogen other than what you have stated. I must also correc that it is not HLA matches but lack of "disparity " that you would be looking for.

Thank you. Can you please tell me some other cases where you might use Neupogen other than HLA or KIR?

That is working backwards. I look at the clinical history and the immune evaluation , then I decide on all of the medications I would use for that particular patient. There are numerous scenarios where I would use neupogen , there are come contracindications, and of course many cases that need ancillary meds. I suggest if you are having issues you set up a free phone consult and I can review your case in detail with you.
