Rituximab in combination with therapeutic exchange plasma

Hello Dr. B,

I have been reading through your site and videos and I really can't wait to work with you. The information is so very helpful/informative although I do not have a medical background. Question:Is the Rituximab in combination with therapeutic exchange plasma as effective as IVIG? Or is it a different treatment for different reasons? Also, what's the difference with Rituximab in combination with therapeutic exchange plasma and intralipids?

I am just begining to learn about reproductive immunology after multiple late and early losses. I have consulted with another RI but it appears that their treatments are focused around NK cells and intralipids and mostly for earlier losses. I have late losses to contend with as well. I am wondering if it would be wasting my time to start the testing with this other RI. I do have a consult with you in a few weeks.

In any case, I will await your responses to the above questions.

I would not start with any other testing as you will simply need to repeat it with me , and it is unlikely that it will be useful. NK cell testing gives extrememly minimal information and should not be done by iteself. Please wait to see me and we will do the full and correct testing for you.

Rituximab and exchange plasma is new , but I suspect it will be better then IVIG for the correct patient population.
