Delaying motherhood - Can I still have a baby?

"Many women do not fully appreciate the consequences of delaying motherhood, and expect that assisted reproductive technologies can reverse their aged ovarian function," Yale researchers reported in a study published in a recent issue of Fertility and Sterility.

This is true! But having said that there are still many women who choose to have their children later in life. It is important, as this study says to educate young woman that reproductive aging is irreversible, but it is also important to emphasize that through IVF and consistently advancing science, women are having successful pregnancies later in life.

It is also important for women to understand that infertility issues do not just arise because of age, and so if you are younger and you've had a miscarriage or a number of failed IVF's it's time to start looking into why the pregnancies are failing. Reproductive Immunology provides solutions for infertility and includes treatments for a wide array of reasons for multiple miscarriages. There is no argument that the immune system is involved in pregnancy loss, and that treatments help many patients avoid miscarriage and failed IVF. At Braverman IVF & Reproductive Immunology we have continued to streamline our testing procedures at our office and we use our unique comprehensive immune panel to accurately diagnose your underlying condition, so we can treat more effectively. Whether you have suffered a chemical pregnancy, spontaneous abortion, early miscarriage, blighted ovum or missed abortion, we can help.

We are an IVF center and a reproductive immunology center. Because we do both we are able much sooner to diagnose reasons for failed IVF's. As much as we'd like to say that you will get pregnant with the first IVF cycle, it doesn't always happen. But be assured that should it happen to you, our team will be ready to find out why the first time!

If you have had failed IVF's or recurrent pregnancy loss, or if you are just beginning to research IVF -- then please join us on our forum on our website. If you have questions -- email us.
