KIR Activators missing

Dear Dr. Braverman,

I am about to start an ICSI at Dr. würfel's clinic in Germany. I'll be 42 in August. I was already pregnant once on the third try, but it sadly ended in a miscarriage due to PPROM at 14 weeks. I tried again after the miscarriage but it didn't work, either. These treatments all took place in a different clinic.

After the first consultation at Dr. Würfels practice (even though I scheduled a consultation with another doctor at the same clinic), I got HLA and KIR testing done. It has come out that the three most important KIR activators are missing. As a therapy, Granocyte 13 has been prescribed to be used twice a week after transfer. I would like to know your opinion on how high our success chances are and if you think my stimulation plan (My AMH is 1,3) is likely to be effective enough: 600 units of Merional a day during 5 days, Orgalutran, Brevactid as well as ASS and Prednisolon after ET. My thyroid levels are a bit low, for which I am taking Thyroxin.

I feel really nervous as my insurance won't fund any more of my treatments and it is important to me to know I won't be throwing any more of my time or money away. Thanks for your time and answer!!!

Best regards,

Anna

I think you need much more than the KIR studies to determine the etiology for your complications. It is possible that Granocyte is not the therapy you require. I would be happy to assist you in the workup , fill out a consult form from our website and we can schedule a free 10 minute SKYPE to discuss your case. We can order our immune panel from Europe and have it sent to us here .
