Does high C Reactive Protein interfere with a FET?

Hi Dr Braverman,

I am 36 years old and have been told I have a high C Reactive Protein, I have been tested for anything that may give a high CRP (not sure of every test but lupus, IBD, heart problems) and get this and my iron checked every 6 months (also have low iron that require infusions), but it has come back as reasons unknown. My level is anywhere between 16 and 48mg/L (average here is 0-8).

I am due to have a FET at the end of this month on my cgh normal embryo.

Can having a high CRP decrease my chances of getting pregnant? I know CRP is inflammation in the blood and can come from anywhere, I just don't know if it crossess over with IVF at any stage.

I have had 3 children naturally (no miscarriages) and have done PGD for gender selection. I had a chemical miscarriage last year on a FISH 5 probe tested 4 day embryo.

Thanks so much.

I think with any signs of inflammation a full immune work up should be performed as an overactive immune system untreated can interfere with implantation. I would be happy to assist you with this, but I would not transfer without this information.
