Out-of-Town & International Patients
Prevent Miscarriage & Infertility With Our Specialists
Endometriosis Surgical Specialists (ESSI) is a nationally recognized center for Advanced Excision Surgery. Whether you're local or traveling from out of town, our goal is to make your surgical journey with Dr. Vidali and his team of Collaborating Specialists as smooth, clear, and affordable as possible.
We understand the emotional and financial stress patients undergo when they experience Endometriosis or Adenomyosis. We realize this can be even more stressful for out-of-town patients who have to also schedule travel for their treatments. To streamline this process, we have put together our New Patient Check-List for Out-of-Town Patients. This provides you with step-by-step instructions for becoming a patient of ESSI and helps you to coordinate your travel schedule with your treatment.
New Patient Checklist for Out-of-Town Patients
- We encourage patients to Request A Consultation which is conveniently located on our website. After requesting a consultation, you will be sent an email with all the necessary information to get started! You will have an opportunity to set up your personal Dashboard so that you can easily upload all the intake information we need along with helpful instructions on how to register with our Practice.
- Upon completion of your intake information, our staff coordinators will schedule your TeleMed Consultation with a member of our medical team at no cost to you, so that the medical team can assess your needs for the services of ESSI.
- If it is determined that you will proceed with surgical treatment from ESSI, you will then schedule the date of your surgery and your Pre-Surgical Exam. This appointment will include an Ultrasound, Pelvic Mapping, and Doppler Study, and a personal evaluation by one of our ESSI Physicians. You may schedule this exam for the Tuesday before your surgery upon request. Speak to our office about recommendations on where to fly into for the appointment.
- Upon scheduling your surgery, you will be provided further instructions on how to prepare for the surgery, such as bowel preparation and medications to stop prior to surgery, as well as what to expect the day of surgery and afterwards.
- Most of our patients are released from the hospital within 24 hours and we recommend that they stay local for at least 2–3 days post-operatively. Please note that each patient’s timeline may vary based on the unique circumstances of their case. Discuss with our medical team for further details.
- A pre-operative appointment at no cost to you will be conducted approximately 2 weeks after your surgery via TeleMed, at which point your Surgeon will review the details of your surgery and any questions you may have.
- Contact our office with any questions. We look forward to speaking with you.
