Hello Dr Braverman

i am 37 years old with a 4 year old son. We have been trying to conceive #2 for nearly 2.5 years.

I was diagnosed with endo in October via lap to remove a 4cm cyst. Endometrioma removed, filmy adhesions and spots lasered off of the abdominal wall. Adhesions also seen on the bowel but not removed. I do not present with unmanageable pain but have heavy periods with a lot of clotting and lots of spotting throughout a 10-11 day lp (sometimes from ovulation to menses). I fell pregnant my first full cycle after the lap but unfortunately no hb seen at a sonogram at 8 weeks (embryo measured 7wks).

unfortunately we are not in a financial position to proceed with treatment at this time but I would like your advice on how best to preserve ovarian function and improve egg quality in the meantime - my last blood draw & scan in September 2013 showed an FSH of 8.5 and AFC of 9. I am currently wheat and caffeine free with very limited amounts of dairy, alcohol and sugar. Supplements include COQ10 ubiquinol, high dose omega 3s, L'arginine, vitex and a prenatal.

any advice is much appreciated. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my post.

All the best,
Farah

I think your supplements are adequate , while waiting for a cycle I have my patients go on letrazole and aygestin to hold the endometriosis at bay and improve symptoms. when ready you need a full immune workup to treat the associated immune issues that most likely resulted in the loss of your pregancy. Feel free to schedule a free 10 minute consultaton with me to discuss by filling out a consult form on the website.
