Hi Dr. Braverman!

I am a previous patient of yours. I sought your medical advice after my second miscarriage. I have ulcerative Colitis and was diagnosed with Compound Hetero MTHFR and Hetero FVL through your testing. I am currently on CD 33. According to my basal body tempature I ovulated on CD 19 so that puts me on 14 DPO. I tested on 12 DPO (evening) because I was feeling "weird". The test showed a faint positive but it was very visible. I tested again today using 2 different test and the same urine. (First morning urine in a clean cup) one was negative and the other was positive (faint line). I am on Lovenox 40 mg 1x/day, metnax, baby asprin and progesterone. So I won't get my period unless I stop the progesterone. My husband and I agreed to contact you as soon as there was a +pregnancy test so u can monitor me, but now I am afraid that I am up for another doomed pregnancy.

Shouldn't my pregnancy test have a stronger result as the days go by since HCG double every 2-3 days? Do you think I am maybe still to early to get a strong positive? Should I wait a couple of days to test again and then give you a call if it's still positive? Is this a sign of a chemical pregnancy?

This would be my 3rd pregnancy and no children so as you could imagine I am very paranoid!!.

we must order a blood test ASAP, this is not uncommon to have the urine tests be ambiguous like this. Please call my office tomorrow and we will arrange for this blood test then i can look up your records and see what we need to initiate . This is always a time sensitive issue so the sooner we know what is going on with you the sooner we can initiate any necessary treatment. Good Luck and speak with you soon.

Dr. Braverman, as you may recall I am about 5 weeks pregnant and have been following your protocol to the dot! I just wanted to ask what your thoughts were on Neevo? The prenatal vitamin that contains L-methylfolate (as you already know I'm sure) I am currently on Metanx and a regular prental vitamin. Do you think it would be benefial for me to take Neevo aswell or replace my prenatal with Neevo? Also I have read that Fish Oil helps to, is it ok if I take that? I hope to hear from you soon so I could get the results of all my tests!

Thank you!
